Dr. Ben Carson for Secretary of the Treasury

During the primaries, Dr. Carson opined that with over half of the population not paying any federal income taxes, few really cared how tax dollars were being spent.  He suggested a form of taxation with citizens paying a “tithe” (10%) so that all had some “skin in the game.”  This candidate was so very wise that he did not survive the primaries.  There were too many unwise opponents and unwise viewers.  However, he was wise enough to become an ardent Trump supporter.  Now, in post-election D.C., he will likely serve in Trump’s cabinet.  I hope that Dr. Carson becomes Secretary of the Treasury and uses his wisdom to convince others that all citizens should have some “skin in the game.”
